- Covers European football well
- Decent live betting console
- Innovative 'Ca$h In' betting option
Review of Unibet.com
Unibet launched back in 1997 and have grown to become one of Europe's largest privately owned online bookies currently servicing over 5.3 million customers in 150 countries.
Although Unibet offer casino, poker, bingo and games at Unibet.com, it's sports betting that they're more renowned for having won the EGR Award for best European bookie 3 times.
Saying that we found that the range of sports betting markets on offer at Unibet was generally ok but had a strong focus on European football which might suit some punters.
One unique feature is Unibet's 'Ca$h In' feature on live betting which lets you end bets early.
This is great if your free bet offer is winning as you simply check Unibet's 'Ca$h In' amount and add any winnings to your account. It's also useful for free bets that look like losing as you can 'Ca$h In' early to minimise any potential losses.
Although not as polished as some of the better bookies we feature, Unibet is a decent betting portal with over 25 language options and a well designed Live Betting console.
Unfortunately Unibet tend to offer pretty average odds across most of the sports betting markets they cover. While Unibet may not offer the best odds when compared to other online bookies they may still be worth checking, especially on more obscure markets.
Their football odds are generally better than other markets more so for the Nordic leagues.
The range of sports betting markets that Unibet offers members is fairly good. All of Unibet's markets can be easily accessed via drop-down menus on the homepage.
As previously mentioned Unibet cover European football especially well with most major football tournaments also well represented. Unibet also cover smaller markets but we can't help but wonder how many people actually bet on third division football in Finland!
The Unibet website is reasonably well designed with most betting markets easily accessed from the homepage and a betting slip with good functionality. Some punters we've heard from dislike the small font size on their betting odds but we didn't have any issues.
Unibet also encrypt member data using 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology with their certificate issued and verified by market leading security experts, VeriSign.
Although Unibet employ over 450 customer service agents to service roughly 5.3 million customers, response times and knowledge aren't quite as good as some bookies.
Unibet support is available 24/7 and can be accessed via a freephone number for UK customers as well as via email or the live chat facilities on the Unibet website.
The Unibet website also includes a wealth of information including in-depth live scores, form guides as well as team, player and game stats that update as the action unfolds.
Opening a Unibet account is quick and easy with everything done and dusted in roughly 10 minutes. As with all online bookies Unibet require a few personal details including a unique Unibet username and password before you're able to claim the Unibet new customer offer.
There's options for accounts in over 17 different currencies as well as an excellent step-by-step guide on how to open a new Unibet account for those new to betting online.
